Trine Bumiller’s paintings are nature-based abstractions inspired by the physical and metaphysical worlds. The works consist of multi-panel assemblages of paintings in various sizes, attached vertically and horizontally in off-kilter, asymmetrical compositions. She states, "My paintings are about finding meaning beyond the visible world. Through abstraction my work explores and searches beneath the tangible for the conceptual: the patterns, connections, and universal theories that order our environment and our selves."
